Executive Director and Founder of Elite Behavior Analysis

Marcus Perez, MA is the founder of Elite Behavior Analysis, a company specializing in working with adults and children with developmental disabilities and problematic behaviors.  A 2000 graduate of Ball State University with an MA in Community Counseling, Marcus has used his skills to shape the lives of many individuals in a variety of settings.  In 1995, Marcus began his work with youth after joining a team of staff for a pilot program that taught independent living skills to at risk teenagers.

He continued his work with adolescents by becoming a residential therapist and Aftercare counselor at a facility for at risk and behavioral boys and girls.  While working as an Aftercare counselor, his interest in ABA grew tremendously due to its high rate of success with the clients he served.

  • Member of the Association for Behavior Analysts International® (ABA International®).
  • Member of the Tennessee Association of Behavior Analysts (TABA).
  • Approved Behavior Analyst for the Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (DIDD) Middle and East Region, Tennessee.

Deputy Director

Chih Yi is a native of Mumbai, India. “Kris,” as he is fondly called, has a degree in Dentistry. In 2006, when he moved to the United States of America, he was introduced to population with intellectual and physical disabilities and began working at a local provider agency as a Client Program Coordinator. In 2007, he joined a Support Coordination agency and worked as an Independent Support Coordinator/Case Manager.

He facilitated services through DIDD for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Kris joined Elite Behavior Analysis, LLC in June 2011 as the Director of Human Resources.

Nichole Henry has been involved in psychology for the past five years. She was introduced to the field of Applied Behavior Analysis in 2002 when she began working with at risk children and adolescents at a local mental health center. In 2003, she began working at a center for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Nichole was inspired to further her education from working with individuals with developmental disabilities and problematic behavior. She enrolled in the counseling program at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and earned a Masters in Community Counseling in 2006. After receiving her degree, she worked as a foster care placement specialist at a psychiatric hospital for children and adolescents. In 2007, she started working for Elite Behavior Analysis. Nichole is a member of of TABA and is a DIDD Approved Behavior Analyst.


Technical Assistance Coordinator

Matthew has worked as a behavior analyst in various capacities since 2006. He attended the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA, where he received his Bachelors in Psychology. He earned his Masters degree at Vanderbilt University in Behavior Analysis and Special Education.

Since then, he has worked with adults and children with developmental disabilities. He is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and certified special education teacher. He currently attends law school at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Matthew is a TABA member and DIDS-approved behavior analyst.

Shanon is a native of Nashville, Tennessee and attended Middle Tennessee State University where she received her Bachelors in Psychology and her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology.





DIDD Approved Behavior Analyst

Kieran is originally from Naperville, IL. He is a graduate of Bellarmine University (Louisville, KY) where he earned his BS in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice. Kieran was also a four year letter winner playing soccer for the D II Knights.
Following undergrad, Kieran decided to further his education and be a part of the inaugural Applied Behavior Analysis program at Spalding University (Louisville, Ky). Kieran earned his Master of Arts in the summer of 2010.

Kieran was drawn to the field of behavior analysis through work at Our Lady of Peace psychiatric hospital. At the facility, Kieran worked with children ages 3 to 12 with varying developmental disabilities and severe behavior problems. For two and a half years, he worked directly with the individuals as a Mental Health Specialist until completing grad school. During school, Kieran also had the opportunity through his practicum to work alongside an Interventional Specialist to help children with Autism learn verbal behavior skills.
Kieran joined the Elite team in December 2010. He works in the Knoxville and surrounding areas, primarily works with adults with Developmental Disabilities. Kieran is honored to have the opportunity to help serve such amazing individuals.


DIDD Approved Behavior Analyst

Tamera Rost grew up in New Orleans and attended a community college where she took her first psychology course and fell in love with the field. She transferred to the University of New Orleans to major in psychology After Hurricane Katrina, she moved to Shreveport and attended Louisiana State University in Shreveport and became a member of Psi Chi and the Psychology Club. She engaged in research and extracurricular activities, as well as volunteering at the Gingerbread House – a center for children who have been sexually abused – during the summertime.

After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Tamera moved to Tennessee where she attended Middle Tennessee State University and majored in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis. She continued her involvement in research activities and became a member of the Pinnacle Honor Society. Tamera received her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from MTSU in May of 2012. She is a member of the Association for Psychological Behavior Analysts and is a DIDD Approved Behavior Analyst providing services in the eastern Tennessee region.



DIDD Approved Behavior Analyst

Jill Nelson has worked with individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Mental health issues for over 25 years.  Much of her experience was in the service provider agency arena, and she was Assistant Executive Director of Monarch, Inc. in North Carolina for several years.  Her Master’s is in Adult Education, and she completed her BAT program through Southern Illinois University in 2008.  She has worked as a Behavior Analyst with the State regional office for the past 5 years before joining the Elite group in 2015. Jill has lived in the Knoxville area for the past 11 years, and is a DIDD Approved Behavior Analyst.

Leigh attended the University of Mississippi where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.  She also attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois where she earned her master’s degree in Behavior Analysis and Therapy.

While at SIU, Leigh worked with at-risk families with DCFS involvement to provide in-home parent training for dealing with problematic behaviors with their children.  Leigh has been working in middle Tennessee for five years with adults and children with developmental disabilities.

Leigh is a board certified behavior analyst and is a DIDD approved behavior analyst.



DIDD Approved Behavior Analyst

Cynthia Powers developed an interest to work with individuals with disabilities at an early age when she started taking sign language classes at the age of 10. During college she worked at a residential deaf school where she was introduced to children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Later she transitioned to working with adults through TEACCH and other agencies. She was most interested in helping people gain independence through skill acquisition and reductions in challenging behaviors.

When Cynthia heard about applied behavior analysis, she knew she had found her place. After receiving an MA in Applied Behavior Analysis at Spalding University and becoming a BCBA, she provided services in Kentucky. She has relocated to Tennessee and joined Elite Behavior Analysis. Working as a DIDD Approved Behavior Analyst offers her the opportunity to work within her specialty, helping adults to meet their needs while maximizing their right to self-determination and independence.

Cynthia is a member of the Association for Behavior Analysis International, Association of Professional Behavior Analysts and Tennessee Association for Behavior Analysis.

Jamy Wisher grew up in Kokomo, IN and attended a community college where she earned her degree in Early Childhood Development. During her undergrad, she worked as an ABA therapist where she fell in love with behavior analysis and working with individuals with special needs. Jamy worked as an ABA therapist for 5 years when she decided to pursue graduate school. Throughout the past 9 years in the field, Jamy has had the pleasure of working with individuals with multiple diagnosis in various settings, including the school, clinic, home, and community,

After receiving her Master of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis with an emphasis in autism, Jamy earned her certificate as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2013. Jamy most recently worked as the Clinical Director of Indiana Behavior Analysis Academy, a clinic for children with autism. She is a member of the Association for Behavior Analysis International, Hoosier Association for Behavior Analysts, and the Kentucky Association for Behavior Analysts.


Kristen Brooks

Administrative Assistant 

Kristen is the administrative assistant with Elite Behavior Analysis, LLC.  She joined the team on August 2016. Growing up, she worked hard and enjoyed helping others. Over time, Kristen developed communication skills which has made her successful in various office settings. Kristen was born and raised in the Chattanooga Metropolitan area. She enjoys kayaking, hiking, and sports.
